Great Holiday Gift Ideas

Its Saturday and we are now in the middle of one of the most exciting weekends of the year. Thanksgiving weekend is just terrific. Turkey sandwiches, great college football games and SHOPPING!!!!!
I have been receiving quite a few emails lately asking me what is "hot" gift. What are people buying at Percy's this holiday. So I made a list of the items that I see people buying especially yesterday (black friday) and the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving weekend.

1. Percy's Gift cards. If your not sure, this is the safest way to go.

2. GPS systems. Garmin and TomTom. We have both, they are flying out of here.

3. Digital Picture frames. My personal favorite. Its a great gift for anyone in your family.

4. Lcd tv's for the kitchen and office. Any size from 15 inch to 26 inch will work out fine.

5. Plasmas and Big Lcd tv's. It a big Tv holiday. The pricing deals are superb, the quality is
excellent....and we install it professionally

6. Energy star washers. We are selling these like crazy (thank you to all that bought them)
I know you may be thinking why a washer for the holidays. I did too. But, its a hot item for
the holidays....especially Energy star ones.

7. Any Audio system by Bose. The 3-2-1 systems are simple to use, simple to hook up, and the
sound will blow you away. A personal favorite!!!

8. Wine refrigerators. A great gift to put all those liquid presents we all get during the
holidays.

9. Vacuums. I am not sure I could get my wife a vacuum for the holidays but we are selling a
bunch every day to many of our customers.

10. Finally, the last hot gift item, or items is our small appliances. ( toasters, blenders, mixers).

So these seem to be the hot gift items here at Percy's. Thank you for your emails, Keep them

Black Friday is here

We hope everyone had a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving. Its Friday...Black Friday and that means it time to shop for the holidays. Be careful driving, play it safe, we hope you come down and visit us and see all the great holiday specials we have.
If you can not come down and visit, we encourage you to purchase online.
We will open at 8am and stay open till 8pm........ and remember, if it snows 6 inches on

Holiday Shopping (Black Friday)

This Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is known as Black Friday in the retail world. Retail experts around the country and world say this is the day that retailers go from being in the red,(losing money) to black (making money). I am not sure about that but what i am sure about is that this day to many shoppers is a huge day. Its fun, its exciting, and many "professional " shoppers I know look forward to this day more than any other. Why?? Because on "Black Friday", for 4-6 hours in the early morning, retailers of all shapes, sizes and products advertise deals on specific products like clothing, toys, electronics, appliances, shoes, handbags, coats, toasters, and plants...yes plants, below cost or pretty close to it. I am not kidding. If you are looking for a plasma, a LCD TV, xbox games etc for the holidays and you can get up early enough, you may be able to score a fantastic deal. Speaking from experience and being a retailer on this "holiday", those that shop early and have their day planned out, win BIG!!!!!!

First full day with our new Website

Welcome to Percy's TV & Appliance e-commerce website. As stated earlier in my last post, this is all very new and exciting for us. Percy's traditional brick and mortor store has been in business for over 80 years and now we have added an e-commerce element for everyone's convenience, and for those that are unable to visit our store here in Worcester.

Because it is new, we know we still have have our work cut out for us in order to make this site as easy to navigate through as possible. We will continue to work on this daily.
