Blu-ray Becomes More Affordable

Up until now there have only been a select few companies (Sony & Pioneer to name a few) that took Blu-ray and made it what it is today. Now that Blu-ray reigns supreme, other companies are following suit and coming out with their own Blu-ray players. But is it possible to come out with a Blu-ray player, make it affordable, but still maintain the same picture and sound quality that Sony has to offer?

Cnet.com did a review of the Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-ray player and they used the Sony Playstation 3 as their "control" when doing comparisons. The DMP-BD35 got their Editors Award for Excellence for quality and value. They said that the DMP-BD35 matched perfectly to the Sony Playstation 3 but cost almost half the price. It just goes to show that high quality...IS affordable these days. Blu-ray's are also selling out of stores quickly this year. 17 Days Left And Counting....

My Christmas lights are up, haven't pulled the tree out as of today, but it DID snow on Sunday...so a little Christmas spirit is in the air. For some, it's almost a 3 month holiday. They decorate the bushes, the gutters, and yes, even put those inflatable snowmen in the front yard that plays Christmas music. If you are the extremest than this time of the month is crucial. Weekly Specials From Now 'Til Christmas

Most people still haven't started their Christmas shopping yet. Me? I rarely ever start early. Then again, I always waited until the night before to do a project...even though I had 2 weeks to do it. No, I usually go out and get my Christmas Eve grab gift at CVS an hour before my family shows up, I'll do my wife's Christmas shopping sporadically throughout the month but solidify it the last week before Christmas. Everyone else on my list get done a week before as well. Hey, it's not MY fault, I enjoy getting the last good deals of the holiday season.

Smack Dab In The Middle

Turkey huntin' season is over, traffic is getting back to it's normalcy, and Black Friday is over. But even though it's over, we're right smack dab in the middle of the Christmas holiday shopping season. I'm about 70% done with my own Christmas shopping and let me tell you, the Christmas Spirit is alive and well...at least in New England.
