Percy's is world famous for running promotions like this. We run our annual "snow promotion" every thanksgiving and our "sun promotion" every memorial day. Not a day goes by when someone does not ask us if we are going to have any fun promotions like this soon.
The Celtics promotion is very simple. Buy any television from Lg, Pioneer, or Mitsubishi over 42 inches or any Bose Lifestyle audio system and if the Celtics win the NBA championship in June 2008, that purchase will be free*( minus sales tax, deliveries etc).
I get asked all the time why do this, and do I hope the customers lose.
First, I love the Celtics. Always have. Even when they were struggling I would watch. Second, the team has a great chance of winning it all. They are playing as a team. Everyone knows their role and there seems to be no ego's getting in the way. Third, its fun. The promotion is fun and exciting. The customers love it. For online orders, Percy's will be shipping out till December 24, 2007. However, if you want the item for Dec 25, we can not promise that anything bought a few days before Dec. 25th will get to your house no matter where you live by Dec 25th. So please order by December 18th, to play it safe. This way we should, (Ups or Fed ex willing) get you your item before Dec 25th. December 25th is on a Tuesday this year, thus the weekend before can get a bit crazy with shipping.
