This weekend at Percy's your tv and or Bose Audio system could be FREE if the Boston Celtics win the NBA championship. This exciting promotion starts today and will run until Dec 24th, 2007 or until we run out of product or insurance.
Percy's is world famous for running promotions like this. We run our annual "snow promotion" every thanksgiving and our "sun promotion" every memorial day. Not a day goes by when someone does not ask us if we are going to have any fun promotions like this soon.
The Celtics promotion is very simple. Buy any television from Lg, Pioneer, or Mitsubishi over 42 inches or any Bose Lifestyle audio system and if the Celtics win the NBA championship in June 2008, that purchase will be free*( minus sales tax, deliveries etc).
I get asked all the time why do this, and do I hope the customers lose.
First, I love the Celtics. Always have. Even when they were struggling I would watch. Second, the team has a great chance of winning it all. They are playing as a team. Everyone knows their role and there seems to be no ego's getting in the way. Third, its fun. The promotion is fun and exciting. The customers love it. If you are going to buy a Tv anyway, why not take the chance of getting it for free. Fourth, The Percy's team ( sales, service, install, accounting, management) love the excitement and good will. Plus its fun!!!I think i said that already
Now to the question of do I want the customer s to win. YES, the promotion is backed by a AAA insurance carrier, I pay the premium no matter what, so yes, I want everyone who buys something to win. 3 years ago we ran our snow promotion and it snowed over 6 inches at the worcester airport on christmas day. We gave back all the money and I loved every minute of it.
